How Lloyds statements are read
A type column with three-letter codes
Each row has a type: DEB for a debit card payment, DD for a direct debit, SO for a standing order, FPO and FPI for faster payments out and in, BGC for a bank giro credit such as a salary, TFR for a transfer. The code is kept, and the direction comes from the Money In and Money Out columns.
Own-account transfers are not income
Money moved in from your own savings account is marked as a transfer, so it does not inflate your income if you use the export for a budget.
Parse Lloyds statements in your own app
Send the PDF to the StatementBear API and get JSON back: every transaction with its direction and category, the account it belongs to, and a check that the totals reconcile. No bank login, no template per bank. The first 25 documents are free, then $0.49 each.
