How RBC statements are read
One date and one balance per day
Amounts sit under Withdrawals ($) or Deposits ($), the date is printed only on the first transaction of a day and the balance only after the last. The converter gives every row its own date and sign, and never reads a daily balance as a transaction.
Card credits are negative amounts
On an RBC credit card statement any negative amount is a payment, a refund or a credit, and an instalment plan purchase has a ^ before its description. Payments come out as card repayments and refunds as money back, so neither is counted as income or spending.
Parse RBC statements in your own app
Send the PDF to the StatementBear API and get JSON back: every transaction with its direction and category, the account it belongs to, and a check that the totals reconcile. No bank login, no template per bank. The first 25 documents are free, then $0.49 each.
Statements from other banks
Your bank is not listed? Upload it anyway: the converter reads any bank, in any currency. All banks
