How Truist statements are read
Money out comes before money in
The statement lists Checks first, then Other withdrawals, debits and service charges, then Deposits, credits and interest, each with its own total and every amount printed without a sign. The converter takes the direction from the table and puts the rows back into one list in date order.
Transfers name the other account
A move between your Truist accounts is printed as TRUIST ONLINE TRANSFER, then MOBILE or ONLINE and the other account's last four digits: TO ****0420. Those rows are marked as transfers, so moving money to your savings does not count as spending.
Parse Truist statements in your own app
Send the PDF to the StatementBear API and get JSON back: every transaction with its direction and category, the account it belongs to, and a check that the totals reconcile. No bank login, no template per bank. The first 25 documents are free, then $0.49 each.
Statements from other banks
